Tuesday evening was quite lively at Solea on Moody Street in Waltham, MA. This restaurant and tapas bar has a beautiful atmosphere, with tasteful decor and friendly service. They recently expanded, so there’s plenty of space for parties and corporate events.
And the soup?
Solea carries a soup special that is updated monthly with their monthly tapas specials. This month is Sopa de Grao de Bico con Espinafre – a chickpea and spinach based soup, but flavored with chorizo and bacon!
The chorizo and bacon produce such a rich flavorful soup, that paired with just one tapas from the main menu, created a full meal! And priced for the moderate spender, if next month’s soup is as good as this month’s, I think I’ll be visiting Solea at least once a month – just for the soup!
